2007 Homecoming Patch that each registrant will receive. Did you pre-order any extras?

It may be hard to believe but this September, we will celebrate our fifth reunion of old friends at Camp Cedar Valley, near Viola, Arkansas. You're not familiar with the Cedar Valley Homecoming?! Shocking but possible though rare. This is a gathering of former scouters and families with connections to "old" Cedar Valley near Hardy or "new" Cedar Valley at Viola. This includes staff and campers; current and former scouts of all ages. It is the norm to see long lost friends for the first time in 30-40-50 years from all over the United States! We even have several scout troops join the fun. All the facilities are available besides the 777 acres we all came to love. This includes the canoes, fishing, rifle and shotgun ranges, archery, etc. Hike the old trails or just sit and visit with old friends.

While all the buildings have been renovated and have great sleeping space, this space is limited and available first-come, first-served with priority to our older guests and those with health issues. Once beds are filled, you can toss a sleeping bag on the floor or your cot in a few areas. There are full hook ups for camper-trailers in the Family Camp. We will also setup a few tents in the Family Camp from the remaining camp inventory - first-come, first-served use. If you have tenting and can camp however, we encourage that you do this to make more room for older members or those with special needs that can no longer camp so easily. All meals will be provided in the Dining Hall, prepared by our "master chefs"! Even if you cannot spend the weekend, plan to join us on Saturday for all the fun ending with the a traditional campfire.

Pre-registrations before August 13, are $20/person. After that date they are $25/person. For the first time this year, we are making a special provision for scouts coming with a scout troop. Scouts with their unit will be $15/each (must register as a troop and fill out individual registration forms) AND one leader for each eight registered scouts will be free! PLEASE pre-register as this really helps us plan food and activities.

All those who pre-register will have a chance to win something unique and special. We're not saying what it is but there will be several winners and it will be something that EVERYONE will wish they had when the weekend is over.

Please  CLICK HERE FOR REGISTRATION FORM to register early and save a few bucks. If you cannot download the PDF form, CLICK HERE TO OPEN A WORD VERSION to print. If you can't open either one, click HERE to send an e-mail to Stephen White. This form will also allow you to "pre-order" t-shirts and extra commemorative patches. Cody Milburn has volunteered to handle registrations so please send all registrations to Cody at the address on the form. Additional details can be downloaded with the form. A more complete schedule of activities will be posted in the coming weeks - - CHECK BACK OFTEN FOR DETAILS.

Will you be there?

Check back often for more details as they become available. We want this to be "YOUR" Homecoming weekend so if you have suggestions, ideas, or questions please contact us. September may seem like a long time away but with Summer Camps, World Jamboree, Philmont trips, family vacations, etc, the time will pass quickly. Don't be the only one who misses the fun. Contact us by clicking HERE to send an e-mail.

Meanwhile, you can look at the photos take in 2004, 2005 or 2006. Thanks to Jason Nichols and Randy Jenkins for the pics.
