| Description: In the late 1980s, interest revived in the
idea of a Vigil activity patch for use on our Vigil Blankets. District
Executive Brad Doty developed this design by reducing the original Blue
Book X2 and incorporating Brown in place of White from the earlier patch.
The same basic rules applied as had for the X2. The patch was passed out for at
least one year and perhaps two or three, but disappeared thereafter. Attempts
to locate the remaining inventory failed and are now believed to have been lost
or destroyed in moves. As a result this patch is TRULY rare! The patch has no
Scout or lodge related markings and would be easily overlooked. |
| Period of Issue: Early 1990s before 1992; Perhaps
2-3 years only. Restrictions: Vigil only; One per recognized Lodge activity. Quantity Issued: Unknown; Most lost / destroyed; Suspect no more than 50 distributed. Characteristics: Green and Black stitch on Brown twill; Cut-edge; Apx 55x82mm. |
