| Description: This issue was the first Vigil Honor flap we produced. It was issued
concurrently with the first three flap set. Like the Brotherhood flap, this
issue was not intended to be traded. The preferred 'trading flap' being the
S3a/b Ordeal flap. While it was not traded, many Vigils kept a few in mint condition,
intending them as a gift to a new or special Vigil friend in the future. Many
of the mint examples of this issue found today, likely originated from these
limited gifts. This issue is also hard to come by in mint or worn condition. Again, this is mainly because of the limited numbers produced and the generally restricted distribution which they enjoyed. Many Vigils in our lodge, inducted prior to 1980 still wore this as their uniform flap up to and even after our merger with Quapaw lodge. |
| Period of Issue: Apx 1969 to 1974
Restrictions: Vigil members only; No trading. Quantity Issued: Apx 300 Characteristics: Red border & Red Brotherhood bars; Blue sky; Horizontally stitched small triangluar trees like the S3a/b issues; 52x113mm. |
