| S24a: The S24a is shown to the left. Notice the shade of green
in the large tree. It is lighter than the S24b in the center but
the same as that of the S24c to the right. Now compare the bottom
of the black thunderbirds body. The S24a has no downward pointed
feathers. Both the S24b and S24c do have downward pointed
feathers. Also notice that the wings of the bird on the S24a curve.
S24b: The S24b is in the center. This variant is much like the S24a except a darker shade of green was used for the central tree as well as the five smaller ones elsewhere in the design. On this variant the black thunderbird has four rows of stitching to make up wings that go straight across or do not curve on top like the S24a. Notice that there are also three downward pointed "feathers" at the bottom of the birds body. S24c: The S24c is to the right. This variant has the shade of green used on the S24a but the thunderbird shape described above for the S24b. It is quite possible that the S24c actually was available before the S24b.
